Success Stories
Steve Carroll

It’s Friday afternoon and Steve Carroll is driving away from another substantially successful HIRO™ presentation.
As a newly christened Independent Product Consultant, but a vastly experienced small business owner, Steve’s perspective on his growing business is refreshing and easy to learn from. “With the way things are going with the economy, Kathy and I were looking for ways to expand our business,” Steve says. “When I heard about Tahitian Noni International and the HIRO™ product in December of 2007, I knew it was the competitive edge we’d been searching for.”
With a successful bottled water company already under his belt, Steve isn’t new to the idea of networking: “We know a lot of people in the beverage industry,” Steve says, “so we weren’t building a list in the traditional way.” But it isn’t an impressive contact list that paved Steve’s road to success; it’s his clear-cut business strategies that get him in the door with open ears from potential clients.
“We start by setting up an appointment with the main buyer of a business,” Steve explains. “This is where I’ve seen the value of the Tahitian Noni® brand; our foot is already in the door.” As for the presentation, “We hand out a presentation packet that explains all the amazing things about HIRO™: 10 calories, 3 carbohydrates, a daily serving of TAHITIAN NONI® Juice, and only 1 gram of sugar! It’s truly a healthier, functional beverage, and the only product like it on the market!”
Another key point to Steve’s strategy is the follow-up. “Kathy and I back it all up with good customer service,” he explains. “If you do what you say you’re going to do, the sales and revenue will take care of itself.”
After a single conversation with Steve, it’s easy to see why he’s yielding such success: he’s straightforward, passionate, hardworking, and an outstanding leader. “I like to lead by example,” he says. “It’s important to do the work. Presentation meetings, promotions—I always try to be hands on.” With his wife, Kathy; his two sons, Jake (19) and Chase (13); and his Super HIRO team supporting him, Steve seems to have it all figured out. But even after a successful meeting like the one he just completed, Steve is quick to point out that “there is no secret to success in business. You get out of it what you put into it; any business is that way, in any walk of life.”
